We built this extension to bring the best parts of a video player to your web browser.
When you open a video in your browser, you’ll see a control panel at the bottom of your screen. From there, you can change the volume, play and pause the video, and move forward and backward within it. When you’re done with the video, just click on the little ‘x’ in the bottom right corner to close the panel.
And that’s it! Now you can watch all the videos that get posted on social media or by friends and family without having to open them in another application.
This Chrome extension allows you to annotate video content, whether it be on Youtube, Ted Talks, Khan Academy, Coursera, etc. Video annotation is something that has been around for a while but has been mostly limited to “markers” or “bookmarks” which could only be placed at key points in the video and they were visible only to the user. Most of the time, these markers were not even visible and users had to rely on remembering where they put them. This extension changes all of that by introducing a new way of interacting with video content.

When you’re done watching your video, simply click the lightbulb icon again and the page returns to normal.

Flix Plus by Lifehacker
If you’re addicted to watching Netflix on your computer, then you need to check out Flix Plus by Lifehacker.
It adds a bunch of really cool features that you’ll appreciate, such as integration with Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb, and Wikipedia for ratings and information, the ability to watch a random episode from a show you love, and enhancements to browsing that include moving “My List” to the top of the page and fading out shows and movies you’ve already watched or rated.
